MEET THE TTT TEAM

MITCH WILEY, NASM-CPT, NESTA-CCS,SAQ

Owner/Founder/President of Operations

 

Mitch is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) and National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association Core Conditioning Specialist (NESTA-CCS) and Speed Agility and Quickness Specialist (NESTA-SAQ).  He studied Exercise Science at Cecil College (MD) and his high school years were spent at Caravel Academy in Bear, DE where he was a member of the 2008 DE state championship basketball team, 2009 DE state championship soccer team, and member and captain of the 2010 DE state championship soccer runner-up team.  He has been involved in individual training and running sport camps for the past 4 years and has coached at the middle and high school levels in both basketball and soccer over the past 6 years.  During his time training he has had the privilege to train pro, college, high school, and youth athletes. 

BRENDAN ERNE, MS, CSCS

Director of Performance

Brendan is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) with a master’s degree in human performance and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He spent two previous years working for Triple Threat Training prior to pursuing his graduate degree at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. During his time at Liberty, he spent a full year working in the university’s athletic performance department where he worked under and alongside a number of amazing athletic performance coaches, sport coaches, athletic trainers, performance nutritionists, and other sports medicine staff. Brendan had the opportunity to work with 12 different varsity teams in addition to being in charge of several teams for a period of time during this stint including softball, men’s/women’s tennis, short/long sprinters, multis, and women’s distance/cross-country. While he has worked with a variety of different sports, he has had the most experience with rotational sports including baseball/softball, lacrosse, and tennis. Brendan also has a background in rehab having worked at an outpatient physical therapy clinic for a level 1 trauma center for four years.

Athletic Performance Coach

Ashley Kerns is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified
Personal Trainer. She is also a Strength and Conditioning Intern at the University
of Delaware, where she is currently a student majoring in Exercise Science and
minoring in Strength and Conditioning. She has been working closely with the
Football, Men’s Lacrosse, Field Hockey, and Track & Field teams on campus since
June of 2019; gaining extensive knowledge on increasing performance, utilizing
recovery, exploring data, and more. Along with completing her studies at the
University of Delaware within the next year, Ashley also hopes to achieve her
CSCS and USA Weightlifting Certifications. Ashley has worked on and off with
Mitch and Triple Threat Training for years but has officially joined in 2020 full
time and is interested in training all levels of fitness.

Athletic Performance Coach

Matt Bertinato, PT, DPT, Cert MDT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Personal Trainer who joined the Triple Threat Training staff in June of 2018, excited to work with athletes who wanted to become the best they could possibly be. As lifelong athlete, Matt was sidelined by an injury entering high school and went through a few bouts of physical therapy to get him back on the field. He was inspired by his therapists who helped him achieve his full potential and opted to become a physical therapist himself, graduating with is Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014. Working full time as a physical therapist, Matt has a great understanding of the human body and enjoys working with people, both healthy or injured, to achieve their fitness goals. Matt was the assistant coach for Ursuline Academies cross country and track and field teams from 2014 to 2017 and his greatest athletic knowledge is in the sports of soccer, track and field/running, weight lifting and athletic injury management.

Nutrition Coach

KURT BROADWATER, NASM-CPT, USAW

Will "Willdabeast" Corsino is a National Exercise & Sport Trainer's Association Sports Nutrition Specialist (NESTA-SNS) and joined our team in February of 2017.  He provides our staff and clients with nutritional coaching as well as sports nutrition for our competitive athletes.  Will studied Nutrition Culture, Consumer Nutrition, Perspective on obesity, Nutrition through Lifecycle, and Nutrition Health/Fitness/Sport at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, earning a minor in Nutrition.

Athletic Performance Coach

Kurt is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT), a U.S.A. Weightlifting Certified Performance Weightlifting Coach and is CPR/AED certified.  Kurt is one of our head athlete performance coaches and leads group/team training and 1 on 1 sessions.  In high school, Kurt was a 3 sport athlete at William Penn competing in soccer, wrestling, and lacrosse and earning all conference honors in all three sports.  He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware in 2014 while competing on UD's club wrestling team.  In addition to his education, Kurt brings a great deal of experience to TTT having spent 4 years working in sports performance with athletes elementary school age and up through the Division 1 collegiate level as well as adults in corporate health before starting at Triple Threat Training.  He also is an Exercise Technician in a physical therapy clinic for Christiana Care.
